Produced By Maison Takara Shuzo, Ikkomon Aka Is A Rare Shochu Because It Is Entirely Brewed With Sweet Potatoes With Light Red Skin (Aka-Imo) Harvested In The Kagoshima Region, And Fermented With A Specific Must Aka-Imo Koji (Koji From Sweet Potato) Instead Of A Commonly Used Rice Koji.
Resulting From A Simple Distillation Retaining All The Smoothness Of The Texture, Ikkomon Aka Expresses An Aromatic Profile With Floral Notes And Can Be Enjoyed Neat Or With A Small Ice Cube, But Also Lengthened With Sparkling Water Or As The Base Of A Cocktail.
